Hey everybody I am back in school and it seems like I have been busier then ever with work, classes, and more or less life. It’s been a little while since I have last posted in my blog so you have to pardon my apparent absence. For the past couple weeks I have had quite a lot going through my mind and I am glad I have found time to post something. This is a poem I wrote not too long ago and it’s very calming. I hope you enjoy this work entitled Feathers…
The feathers do not make a sound when they hit the floor
I’m too tired now to piece them back together
These angel’s wings are not much of what they used to be
But the heart that lies inside still beats
Hope to reach the sky once more is the reason I am strong
I do not regret the fall, for the reason that no journey is perfect
But I will never forget that not every path can be taken alone
Your words have given me the strength to grow these feathers back
Trusting that I will be high above the clouds of day and the stars of night again
Silence of feathers falling will soon become a distant memory,
As your hands gently pick them off the ground and show me the way to the sky.
